Profile
The daughter of a civil engineer and an avid gardener, a lifelong interest in buildings and gardens of all shapes and sizes began in my youth. A history degree followed, and after a first career in Law I decided to change direction.I undertook a thorough training in garden design and horticulture. Qualifications include a three year Diploma in Garden Design from Capel Manor Horticulture College, the RHS Level 2 Diploma in The Principles and Practice of Horticulture, and the RHS Level 3 Practical Certificate. Further studies in detailed garden construction followed at the Oxford College of Garden Design. And of course many years of practical gardening experience.
I won the ‘Best Student’ award on the Capel Manor Plants and Planting Design course and co designed the College’s gold medal winning entry to The Ideal Home Show. In 2015 I won a competition to redesign a public garden in the heart of the City of London.
I am a pre registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, the professional body which promotes excellent standards in garden design.
